Molded Foam Chair

Molded foam is an excellent choice for upholstered seating because it offers more consistent support and can hold its shape longer than fabricated foam. It also gives a seat a more comfortable and appealing contour.
This type of seat can be made with a variety of densities depending on how the foam is produced. This process can be very flexible in that it allows a product to be customized to fit the individual needs of a customer.
Another benefit of the molded foam process is that it is 100-percent repeatable. This means that a manufacturer can make multiple seats for different year vehicles, and they can control the amount of foam in each one by using the proper mix of liquids.
The two-part liquid foam that is used in this process is computer controlled and a predetermined amount is pumped into the molds. Then, the molds are allowed to cure in a temperature-controlled environment. After a short curing time, the fully formed foam product emerges from the molds and is removed and cleaned of any excess foam.
Unlike fabricated foam, molded foam is less expensive and simpler to manufacture. It can be shaped into a variety of different shapes, including curved ones.
A molded foam chair is constructed by molding the foam around a solid inner core of hard plastic. This method is simpler and less costly than making conventional metal or wood framed furniture. It is a great alternative to fabricated foam because it can be made in a wide range of configurations, including chairs, stools, sofas, chaise lounges and Ottomans.
In this type of chair, the outer layer of foam is made from high density (HD) foam, visco-elastic memory foam or latex foam. A covering encloses the outer layer of foam, the solid inner core and the layer of memory foam.
These chairs have a large 27" nylon base for greater stability, hooded double wheel casters and T-Nut construction connecting the seat and back to the frame. This makes them easy to move and set up in a church or convention hall.
The molded foam seat is padded with a 4 in. thick, 2 lb. density, 100% virgin, moisture resistant polyurethane molded cold cured foam and a liquid barrier fabric to help prevent spills. Integrated ganging devices connect the chairs together in rows to provide uniform row seating, and these church chairs have a 16 gauge silver vein powder coated steel frame with enhanced rocker glides on each leg for floor protection.
Its high-density, energy-absorbing foam alleviates pressure and provides tremendous support. The molded process also ensures that the foam is not exposed to contaminants that can accelerate breakdown of the foam.
These molded foam church chairs are perfect for any place where seating is required in the sanctuary, church foyer or hospitality area. This black molded foam chair is a great addition to any church or convention center with its stylish design, comfort and durability. The 4" thick padded stack seat is backed by a solid steel frame with welded ganging devices to attach the chairs in a row and T-Nut construction to connect the seat and back to the frame.
